The 2015 Kids Clay camp was a roaring success as you can see
by the wonderful results of our participants work.
These turtles are also rattles. They where created by combining coiling and slump work. The students
did all the glazing themselves using an incising technique.
These birds were started off from pinch pots.
These woven baskets were finished by staining the clay with red iron oxide.
These houses are all subject based, and each one tells a different story. The students spent two days
putting all kinds of details into this project. They included objects both inside and outside the
structures.
For example, the red barn has horses inside, while another house is about sports and includes a little
bicycle rack.
