Elizabeth Brooks
Elizabeth has been a professional ceramic artist and educator for over 20 years. She earned degrees from University of Toronto in Studio Art and Art History, and from Queen’s University in Education, complemented by a Studio Art diploma from Sheridan College. She studied with master ceramic artists: Bruce Cochrane (Sheridan College) and John Gregg (Trinity Western University).
Elizabeth’s home studio is in a beautiful area of York Region, where she enjoys playing with ideas, freely exploring ceramic techniques and joyfully forming pieces — both functional and sculptural. She is also an accomplished painter. Her creative sculptures and paintings are inspired by her spiritual connection to the wonderful relationships and places in the world all around us; and, especially to the majestic shores of Lake Superior — her original home. Elizabeth is open to commissions.
