Kala Deobhakta
Kala is a gifted artist with a diverse background in various styles and mediums. Having retired from a long career in Information Technology, she now dedicates her time and passion to pottery. Her academic journey at art school laid the foundation for her artistic endeavors, allowing her to blend traditional techniques with her unique vision.
Her preferred methods of pottery are throwing and hand-building using slabs and her passion is to make one-of-a-kind pieces with inventive designs. Kala incorporates her background in oil painting into her pottery, meticulously hand-painting her pieces. This includes custom-designed, personalized work for her clients.
Kala is an active studio member of the Pine Tree Potters’ Guild.
